About the service
The anaesthetics department includes all elective and emergency anaesthesia across all specialities.
We work with teams across the Trust to provide services for chronic pain management clinics, intensive care and high dependency, maternity, chronic pain and spinal injuries among others. Our services included:
- Pre-operative clinic
- Community dental anaesthesia (hospital-based)
- Chronic pain clinic
- Chronic pain injection procedures
- Chronic pain review during hospital admission
- Intensive and high dependency care
- Outreach services
- Epidural service during labour
- Spinal anaesthesia for caesarean section
