From Thursday 1st October 2026, we have launched a new central phone number for services within Ormskirk Hospital Maternity Unit, making it easier for you to get in touch with us. The new number is 01695 656838.

This includes Maternity Triage, Bleeding in Early Pregnancy, Community Midwives, Pregnancy Assessment Unit (PAU), Existing and New Antenatal/Booking Appointments and Maternity Scan Appointments, Infant Feeding Team and any further enquiries.

I’m worried or concerned.

Contact the Maternity Triage Team (16 weeks pregnant or over) on 01695 656838 if you think you’re in labour or have concerns about your pregnancy and select the appropriate option. This service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The Maternity Triage team operates an open door policy. If you are unable to make contact by phone and would like to see someone regarding your pregnancy concerns please attend Maternity Triage:
