Registered nurses can again come along to Southport hospital for a drop in recruitment event.
On Thursday 17 October from 5-7pm, registered nurses only are invited to attend a recruitment evening where staff will hold interviews and answer questions. Interested candidates can just turn up, or book in advance if that is more convenient. Call 01695 656586 to speak to Karen, who is happy to help and answer any questions.
Interviews will be held at Southport hospital in the Clinical Education Centre, which is outside of the main hospital building. The Trust is especially keen to speak to those wanting to return to the organisation, looking for flexible work patterns and anyone keen for a rotational post.
Thanks to a recent substantial investment in nursing staff, over 100 roles are now available for nurses.
During the recruitment event, teams will be on hand to answer questions about different departments and what it is like to work at the Trust. Advice will be available about career development and training. NHS Professionals will also be on hand for anyone looking for temporary roles with the nursing bank.
Juliette Cosgrove, director of nursing, midwifery and therapies explains: “We find recruitment events this like make the job application process easier for busy nurses or students. You can just pop along for an hour or so and potentially go home with a job offer.
“We are in a much stronger position now than in recent years, with increased investment in staffing, facilities and our buildings, which will help us to improve our service to match increasing demands. We are keen to talk to nurses in the area about the opportunities ahead for our Trust and staff”.
