Patients and staff at Southport and Ormskirk Hospitals have been treated to stunning Christmas decorations this year, thanks to the generous donations from building contractors.
At Ormskirk, Liberty’s Contractors provided four glowing reindeer and a stunning wreath for the entrance to paediatrics. Southport has its first ever giant Christmas tree, thanks to JEL and EFT who managed to source a 24 foot tree, plus beautiful lights, and a handmade NHS light for the top.
A small, socially distanced switch-on celebration at Southport was organised by the donors, Santa even turned up with an elf for a quick mince pie!
Chief Executive Trish Armstrong-Child turned the lights on and explained: “I would like to offer huge, heartfelt thanks to our building contractors for these beautiful decorations. They have been working incredibly hard this year, helping us to prepare for the winter with Covid-19.
“Both hospitals’ look very festive and I know this brings a smile to the faces of our staff and patients.”
