High quality patient care is more likely to be delivered when wards are staffed to appropriate levels with competent and compassionate staff.

We take the care of our patients very seriously and already have a number of mechanisms in place to ensure that our wards are safely staffed, including displaying boards for patients and visitors in all of our wards that shows the planned and actual staffing available at the start of every shift.

We also publish a monthly breakdown of how wards and departments are planned to be staffed against actual staffing levels in line with NHS England guidelines.

These reports are published in the Trust Board papers.
